Admissions

At Stakeford Primary School we follow the Local Authority Admissions Policy. This Policy is subject to continual review and occasional amendment. The Policy as it will be applied for the school year 2021-2022 will be included in the Northumberland Guide to Schools normally available early in the academic year. This document can be viewed by visiting Northumberland County Council Admissions via the link below.

Northumberland Admissions

We encourage parents who are considering applying for a place for their child to come and visit the school.  Please contact the school secretary to make an appointment for you to meet the Headteacher who will show you around and answer any questions you may have.

The planned admission number, reviewed annually, is 30. The number of requests for admissions to the school for 2020/2021 was 18.

Nursery And 2 Year Old Applications

We manage our own admissions to Nursery at Stakeford Primary School. There are three intakes per year: September, January and April.  Children are offered a place to start the term after their third birthday. To apply for a place, parents can contact the school office for an application form to be collected or sent out. This form can also be downloaded on this page.

Parents can submit an application for a nursery place at any time following their child’s birth. Applications are kept on file and we will contact parents by letter during the term before their child is due to start.

In September 2018, we began offering provision for 2 year olds for which we also manage our own intake. Further  information about our Pre-School Admissions Policy for 2 year old and nursery provision can be downloaded below along with application forms.
