Times Table Rockstars   children should spend at least 5 minutes each day on this site. Times tables is our main focus in Maths at the moment and the related division facts. Playing these fun games will be very valuable in future learning.

Numbots children have received login details via Dojo for this site. Again spending 5 minutes each day on one of the games will help develop speedy recall of number facts and make future learning less of a challenge.

White Rose Videos  This is something extra to look at. Children should click on their year group to access the daily tasks. There is a video tutorial to remind them of the learning and they can download the task and jot down answers on paper instead of printing sheet off. There is no login required.

My Maths  I have set a task for this week and will add more each week. Your login details are in your learning packs.

Crystal Explorers   This game will help children to practise their spelling, grammar and punctuation skills. They should spend at least 5 minutes on this game each day.


The Romans

We have looked at the Romans. These are a list of sites for children to explore and develop their knowledge of this period in our history.  This explains how the Romans conquered the Celts.  This shows how the Romans conquered Britain, what life was like in Roman Britain and how they changed our culture.  All about the Colosseum.  Horrible Histories Rotten Romans   Horrible Histories Rotten Romans – Come Dine with Me episode!   Read about how the Romans built the first towns.   Read about how the Romans created roads.

Art:   These are a set of short videos showing children how to draw just like Nick Sharratt the illustrator of Tracy Beaker. It is a bit of fun, while developing drawing skills.

ICT:  Children can revise this lesson form earlier in the year. There are a set of instructions to show children how to complete each step in coding. They had great fun in class, so they should find this quite easy. This is a coding programme. It has a tutorial to explain how to create your own stories and animations-great fun! This is the next step from Turtle Logo.

 We have also uploaded some resources sent to us by the NUFC team who deliver Commando Joe workshops.  The focus of Commando Joe work is to build team and problem solving skills, developing communication,  resilience and respect.
